What if my child’s permanent tooth is knocked out?

At Children's Dental Land, we understand that dental emergencies can be stressful for both you and your child. Our team is here to provide immediate and compassionate care for various dental emergencies.

What to Do If Your Child's Permanent Tooth Is Knocked Out

  1. Stay Calm and Contact Us: Call our office immediately.

  2. Find the Tooth: Rinse it gently with warm water. Hold the tooth by the crown and avoid touching the roots.

  3. Replant if Possible: If you can, place the tooth back in the socket. If not, keep the tooth in a container with cold milk.

  4. Seek Immediate Care: The sooner we replant the tooth, the better the prognosis.

What to Do If Your Child's Baby Tooth Is Knocked Out

  1. Contact Our Office: Call us immediately.

  2. Evaluation: One of our pediatric dentists will assess your child's mouth to ensure there is no damage to the surrounding bone, gum tissue, or adjacent teeth.

  3. No Replanting Baby Teeth: We don’t replant baby teeth to avoid potential damage to the permanent tooth.
